Although modern computer equipment is generally very reliable, is does sometimes fail. Hard disks are more prone to failure than most other computer components because they have many mechanical parts (and not just electronics).

Remember that your hard disk contains all of your personal data much of which cannot be replaced if it is lost. It is vital to ensure that you are prepared for the chance of a hard disk failure. This involves taking regular backups of your data and being able to recover data should your drive fail.

It is surprising, considering the increasing reliance people place on their electronic data, how few people keep adequate and regular backups of their data.

We do backups as well onto a variation of formats, including CD and DVD.

If you suspect that your disk may have failed (or be failing) power down your machine immediately. If you continue to use a failing disk more damage may be done and the chances of being able to recover data are lowered.

We provide our home service over the area from Middlesborough to Sunderland. There is likely to be a roaming technical expert in your area that will be happy to give free impartial advice. All our Technicians are fully experienced. We don't take chances with your computers.

We also have capped fee deals. Fees will be agreed before hand and our Technician will work within that set budget. As with all our repair work, its No Fix, No Fee

To book for a technician to visit you for an on site repair please contact us, one of our staff members will take down your information, give you an estimated cost, remind you of the Terms and Conditions and find out when the best time for you is. The visiting technician will call you back to confirm the date and time. The call out is free and the technician will diagnose the computer for free as well so if you're unsure of what needs repairing don't worry.

Whilst we perform a lot of repairs and setups on site, naturally we cannot turn your home into a temporary workshop, so there is a limit to what we can do before we decide it would be better to bring it back to our shop in hartlepool. Here, your computer/laptop (or what ever your technical problem) will receive the best treatment and attention that we can offer.

Here at Dragon Computers, before your computer is handed back, it will undergo our multi point Health Check to establish the condition of your computer. This is a free courtesy service.

The thing to remember with all our work is that it's No Fix, No Fee!

Worked carried out at the shop is subject to an hourly rate.

If this fails to get your computer working properly, we do a complete reinstall. This includes wiping your computer clean, restore windows and restore your files and folders. All this done at no extra cost. If it is capped at £100 then all work is completed with-in that budget.

If you want to book your computer in to be repaired at the shop, contact us as you would if you wanted a technician to visit and the member of staff will take down the required information, the computer will be booked in when it is delivered to the office.

You can either drop the item to be repaired in to our shop yourself, or we can arrange to collect and return it from your home. We can even receive and return smaller items (up to the size of a laptop) by post.
